The Speelbos (forest playground) is part of the Nieuw Wulven nature reserve. A forest playground was created here just for kids, where they do not have to stay on the paths and can have fun dragging branches, building forts and splashing around in the water.
Rather than conventional playground equipment, they can play with natural objects that allow them to use their imagination. This enhances the nature experience. A fantastic place for children from the entire region to visit.
What is special is that children were involved in designing the forest playground. The themes relate to the history of Houten: the Romans and the Dutch Waterline and the accompanying archaeology.
